Fireflies, they're safe
They don't bite.
Put 'em in a jar
Lit up my guitar,
flew around,
and then they all died.

Goin' fishin'
For the first time.
Caught a small one,
Threw it back, but
seagull flew by and ate it up.
Yeah he died.

Now it's summer,
Don't remember,
When me loving you sounded like a lie,
So I'll take you,
Put you in a jar,
Throw it in the ocean,
I'll watch you die.
